Visa Requirements

A list of documents and any supporting materials typically required by your visa department for this cruise, including specific instructions for travelers.

General Documents:

• Application form (Download) duly filled in English.
• 2 recent colored photos (not older than 6 months, no glasses), size 3.5x4.5 cm.
• Original Passport valid at least 3 months after visa expiry and with at least 2 blank pages.
• Original Family or Individual Registry Certificate (translated to English).
• If no Schengen Visa in the current passport:
  • Submit old passport(s) covering the last 7 years (gap ≤ 3 months if applying in Cairo, no gap if in Alexandria).
  • If none, provide a Movement Certificate from AL-Mugamma (translated).

Additional Documents Based on Occupation:

For Employees:

• Certificate of employment stating recruitment date, position, salary, and social insurance status.

For Business Owners:

• Valid commercial registry.
• Valid and up-to-date tax card with proof of yearly renewal.

For Students:

• Enrollment letter from school or university.

For Pensioners:

• Statement from the social insurance office.

Financial and Travel Documents:

• Recent personal bank statement for the last 6 months, in English and stamped.
• Round-trip air ticket reservation including internal transport in Greece.
• Prepaid hotel reservations for each night in Schengen zone with proof of payment.
• Medical travel insurance with coverage of at least €30,000.

For Minors (under 18):

• If applying with parents: Birth certificate.
• If applying without one parent: Travel approval from notary, translated to English/Greek.
• If one parent is abroad: Travel approval from Greek consulate in country of residence, plus ID copy.

Important Information:

• Apply no more than 6 months in advance (Cairo), 3 months (Alexandria).
• Applications should be lodged at least 15 working days before travel (Cairo office).
• The consular authority may request updated documents.
• Documents in Arabic must be translated, except:
  • Commercial registry
  • Tax card
  • Movement certificate (translated only at Greek community)
• All documents must be originals, except commercial registry and tax card (must be shown during submission).
• Document validity is 1 month from the issuance date.

Special Cases:

• Honeymooners must provide proof of marriage.
• Foreigners must hold valid residence permit valid for 3 months after return.
• If documents relate to mother, the applicant's birth certificate must be provided.
• For spouses: Marriage certificate is mandatory if applying together or referring to each other’s documents.
• Note: Family or Individual Registry Certificate must be translated into English.

Deposit & Cancellation:

• A deposit of at least 50% from total amount to be paid in order to assist in confirming visa appointment
